GEICO makes massive jobs announcement
GEICO has announced that it is adding 2,000 positions throughout the country over the next six months.
“We invite you to consider joining our GEICO family,” Rick Hoagland, chief human resource officer, said. “Our associates have helped make us the growing, stable and customer-focused company we are today.”

As part of an employee-led effort, the insurer is also donating more than $350,000 to charities across the country. GEICO employees around the country nominated non-profit organizations and projects for support, and more than 100 organizations were given donations.
The insurer donated more than $30,000 to organizations in the greater Dallas area alone, including:
- Samaritan Inn
- Child Rescue Coalition
- Rayan’s Crayons
- Flags for Fallen Vets
- Foundation Fighting Blindness
- After-School All-Stars North Texas
- Schnauzer Ranch and Friends
“Our associates told us what was important to them, and we listened,” said Hoagland. “I’ve been touched by the passion GEICO associates show for heling their communities. We are happy to support the wonderful work these associations are doing.”
